Blue Coffee:: Boutique Lounge on Starbucks Mold. Located in a nook near one of entryways to DVORA luxury rental tower, this coffee shop makes transformational use of foyer space and the mezzanine above it. Neighborhood Starbucks locations are across from Exchange Place & Newport Path stations, commuter focused, no seating. This Bleu Lounge is bang between these two locations to fill a gap in more ways than one. It's a haunt for those wanting to chill, work outside home in serenity, schmooze, or prefer lighter B'fast fare (sans a diner's hubbub). Takeout is steady, too. Offerings are similar to that of Starbucks; only more sophisticated, less bitter coffee (a snob's opinion, not mine), spaced out seating, hushed conversations, no Venti / Grande sized cups, sourced bakery confections - flaky & flavorful. On this visit we tried Americano, cappuccino, latte, dulce de leche macchiato; and spinach feta pastry, buttery croissant, almond croissant to go with them. All spot on. Style with substance come at a stiffening price point, which DINK types are cool with.
Great little spot to grab coffee and get some work done! The latte they served was very smooth and creamy, and I also got a spinach -feta pastry which was perfectly heated up. The location is a bit out of the way but that makes it a more clam place to meet someone or get work done.
Such a lovely coffee shop! Very clean and spacious. Their pastries are also top-notch! I was really impressed by the croissant and I think it’s the best I’ve had in Jersey City.
Love this place, I come here and the beacon location all the time to work on my computer, or just to hangout with friends. The barista/ cashier Liam is one of the nicest person I’ve met coming to this location! Not only is he nice, but he also makes the best drinks I’ve ever had. He’s a super cool guy! Plus he can make a mean Brown Sugar Oat Latte
I've been to this location several times to do remote work, and I'm a regular at their other Jersey City location (Beacon). The staff at Bleu never disappoints. My favorite barista here is Liam - his coffee skills are top-notch, but it's his genuine personality that keeps me coming back. He takes real pride in his work and won't hesitate to remake a drink if it's not exactly to your liking. Through our casual conversations, I've gotten to know Liam as someone who's sincere and truly cares about making your day better with the perfect cup. If you want consistently excellent coffee served with professionalism, Liam's your guy.
The perfect WFH cafe in Jersey city. Full of natural light, cozy seating, good coffee and loads of sweet and savory treats, this is the perfect place to spend your day being productive!
Great coffee shop with clean and bright space. However, as it should be, the best aspect is the coffee. The cappuccino may be one of the best that I have tasted. Consistent taste and pour over the course of three visits. Will definitely visit when I’m in Jersey city. Also suggest the spinach pastry (suggest having it heated)
It was my best friend’s and my first time visiting the area, and we had a fantastic experience! Our barista, Hodo, was amazing. She took the time to explain the menu in detail and was incredibly kind. We’ll definitely be back when we’re in town again. Bleu coffee, you have an outstanding team member—great job!
